# On GitHub pull request assigned

> Start an automation when a GitHub pull request is assigned.

`github.onPullRequestAssigned` emits pull request events with `action: "assigned"`.

import { github } from "automate.ax/github"

export default automation("pull request assigned", () => {
  const event = github.onPullRequestAssigned()
  // Update the GitHub pull request in the review dashboard.

```

Optional static `account` defaults to the project binding. Returns the complete typed GitHub webhook payload narrowed to `action: "assigned"`. Requires Pull requests read permission.
