# On GitHub pull request review approved

> Start an automation when a pull request review approves changes.

`onGitHubPullRequestReviewApproved` emits submitted reviews whose `review.state` is `"approved"`.

```ts automations/watch-github-approvals.automation.ts theme={null}
import { automation } from "automate.ax"
import { onGitHubPullRequestReviewApproved } from "automate.ax/github"
export default automation("Watch GitHub approvals", () => {
  const event = onGitHubPullRequestReviewApproved()
  event.transform(({ pull_request, review }) => ({
    pullRequest: pull_request.number,
    reviewer: review.user.login,
  }))
})
```

Optional static `account` defaults to the project binding. Returns `Signal<GitHubPullRequestReviewApprovedEvent>` with `action: "submitted"`, `review.state: "approved"`, and the complete typed payload. A later dismissal emits the separate dismissed trigger.
