# On GitHub status succeeded

> Run when a GitHub commit status succeeds.

`github.onStatusSucceeded` emits commit statuses with `state: "success"`.

```ts automations/github-status-succeeded.automation.ts theme={null}
import { automation } from "automate.ax"
import { github } from "automate.ax/github"

export default automation("GitHub status succeeded", () => {
  const event = github.onStatusSucceeded()
  // Update the GitHub commit status in the CI dashboard.
})
```

Returns the typed commit-status payload. Requires Commit statuses read permission.
