# On GitHub workflow job failed

> Run when a GitHub Actions workflow job fails.

`github.onWorkflowJobFailed` emits completed jobs with `conclusion: "failure"`.

import { github } from "automate.ax/github"

export default automation("GitHub workflow job failed", () => {
  const event = github.onWorkflowJobFailed()
  // Update the GitHub workflow in the CI dashboard.
})
```

Returns the failed job, its steps, run and attempt IDs, runner, and URLs. Requires Actions read permission.
