# Insert image

> Insert an inline image from a public URL.

`googleDocs.insertImage` insert an inline image from a public URL.

## Example

```ts theme={null}
import { automation, onDashboardRun } from "automate.ax"
import { googleDocs } from "automate.ax/google-docs"
export default automation("Insert image", () => {
  onDashboardRun({ title: "Insert image" })
  googleDocs.insertImage({
    document: "document-id",
    imageUrl: "https://example.com/chart.png",
    width: 320,
  })
})
```

## Inputs

Provide `document` and `imageUrl`. The public HTTP(S) image URL must be shorter than 2 KB. Set `index` to insert at a location; otherwise Google appends to the segment. `width` and `height` use points. A second argument with `account` selects a Google Account.

## Output

Returns the document ID and resulting revision ID. Google must be able to fetch the image as a PNG, JPEG, or GIF smaller than 50 MB and no larger than 25 megapixels.
