# Insert table

> Insert a table into a document.

`googleDocs.insertTable` insert a table into a document.

## Example

```ts theme={null}
import { automation, onDashboardRun } from "automate.ax"
import { googleDocs } from "automate.ax/google-docs"

export default automation("Insert table", () => {
  onDashboardRun({ title: "Insert table" })
  googleDocs.insertTable({ document: "document-id", rows: 3, columns: 4 })
})
```

## Inputs

Provide `document`, `rows`, and `columns` from 1 through 20. Set `index` to insert at a location; otherwise Google appends to the segment. A second argument with `account` selects a Google Account.

## Output

Returns the document ID and resulting revision ID.
