# Create folder

> Create a folder in My Drive or a shared drive.

`googleDrive.createFolder` create a folder in My Drive or a shared drive.

## Example

```ts theme={null}
import { automation, onDashboardRun } from "automate.ax"
import { googleDrive } from "automate.ax/google-drive"

export default automation("Create folder", () => {
  onDashboardRun({ title: "Create folder" })
  googleDrive.createFolder({ name: "Invoices", parentId: "folder-id" })
})
```

## Inputs

Provide `name`. `parentId` and `description` are optional. A second argument with `account` selects a Google Account.

## Output

Returns normalized metadata for the new folder.
