# Delete file

> Permanently delete a Drive file.

`googleDrive.deleteFile` permanently delete a Drive file.

## Example

```ts theme={null}
import { automation, onDashboardRun } from "automate.ax"
import { googleDrive } from "automate.ax/google-drive"

export default automation("Delete file", () => {
  onDashboardRun({ title: "Delete file" })
  googleDrive.deleteFile({ fileId: "file-id" })
})
```

## Inputs

Provide `fileId`. The connected account must own or be allowed to delete the file. A second argument with `account` selects a Google Account.

## Output

Returns `{ fileId }` after Google accepts the deletion.
