# Upload file

> Upload binary content to My Drive or a shared drive.

`googleDrive.uploadFile` upload binary content to My Drive or a shared drive.

## Example

import { automation, onDashboardRun } from "automate.ax"
import { googleDrive } from "automate.ax/google-drive"

export default automation("Upload file", () => {
  onDashboardRun({ title: "Upload file" })
  googleDrive.uploadFile({
    file: new File(["hello"], "hello.txt"),
    parentId: "folder-id",
  })
})
```

## Inputs

Provide a `File`. Override `name` or `mimeType`, and optionally set `parentId` or `description`. A second argument with `account` selects a Google Account.

## Output

Returns normalized metadata for the uploaded file.
