# On participant joined

> Run an automation when a participant joins Google Meet.

`onGoogleMeetParticipantJoined` emits the device-level participant session that just joined.

## Example

```ts theme={null}
import { automation } from "automate.ax"
import { onGoogleMeetParticipantJoined } from "automate.ax/google-meet"
export default automation("Track arrivals", () => {
  const session = onGoogleMeetParticipantJoined({ space: "abc-defg-hij" })
  session.startTime
})
```

## Options

`space` optionally limits the trigger to one static space. Omit it to watch owned meeting spaces. `account` optionally selects a static Google Account binding.

## Trigger data

Returns `{ name, startTime, endTime? }`. Use the parent participant resource name embedded in `name` with `getGoogleMeetParticipant` when you need identity details. The connected user must own or organize the meeting.
