# Create shape

> Create a shape or text box on a slide.

`googleSlides.createShape` create a shape or text box on a slide.

## Example

import { automation, onDashboardRun } from "automate.ax"
import { googleSlides } from "automate.ax/google-slides"

export default automation("Create shape", () => {
  onDashboardRun({ title: "Create shape" })
  googleSlides.createShape({
    presentation: "presentation-id",
    pageObjectId: "slide-1",
    shapeType: "textBox",
    x: 72,
    y: 72,
    width: 360,
    height: 72,
  })
})
```

## Inputs

Provide `presentation` and `pageObjectId`. Choose `shapeType`; position and size use points. `objectId` is optional. A second argument with `account` selects a Google Account.

## Output

Returns the presentation ID and created shape ID.
