# Insert text

> Insert text into a shape or table cell.

`googleSlides.insertText` insert text into a shape or table cell.

## Example

import { automation, onDashboardRun } from "automate.ax"
import { googleSlides } from "automate.ax/google-slides"

export default automation("Insert text", () => {
  onDashboardRun({ title: "Insert text" })
  googleSlides.insertText({
    presentation: "presentation-id",
    objectId: "shape-1",
    text: "Results",
  })
})
```

## Inputs

Provide `presentation`, `objectId`, and non-empty `text`. `index` inserts at an offset. Set row and column indexes for a table cell. A second argument with `account` selects a Google Account.

## Output

Returns the presentation ID and resulting revision ID.
