# Get import status

> Retrieves the processing status of a Krisp recording import.

`krisp.getImportStatus` checks a recording after `importRecording` uploads it.

import { krisp } from "automate.ax/krisp"

```

`importId` is required. The result's `status` is `uploading`, `processing`, `ready`, or `failed`. `meetingId` becomes available when processing succeeds; `error` describes a failed import. Krisp returns `404` for an unknown import.
