# Delete comment

> Permanently delete a Linear comment.

`deleteComment` removes a comment or threaded reply by ID.

import { deleteComment } from "automate.ax/linear"

export default automation("Delete Linear comment", () => {
  onHttpRequest({ scope: "automation" })
  deleteComment({ commentId: "comment-uuid" })
})
```

`commentId` is required; optional `account` defaults to the project binding. Returns `Signal<{ commentId: string }>` with Linear's confirmed deleted entity ID. Deletion is permanent.
