# Get document

> Get one Linear document.

`linear.getDocument` gets one Linear document..

```ts automations/linear-get-document.automation.ts theme={null}
import { automation, onDashboardRun } from "automate.ax"
import { linear } from "automate.ax/linear"

export default automation("Get document", () => {
  onDashboardRun({ title: "Get document" })
  linear.getDocument({ documentId: "document-uuid" })
})
```

Provide a document ID or URL slug as `documentId`. Returns the matching `LinearDocument`. Optional second argument `{ account }` selects the Linear binding.
