# List workflow states

> List Linear workflow states, optionally for one team.

`listWorkflowStates` discovers state IDs for issue creation and movement.

```ts automations/list-linear-states.automation.ts theme={null}
import { automation, onHttpRequest } from "automate.ax"
import { listWorkflowStates } from "automate.ax/linear"
export default automation("List Linear workflow states", () => {
  onHttpRequest({ scope: "automation" })
  listWorkflowStates({ teamId: "team-uuid" })
})
```

Optional `teamId` restricts states to one team. Common page inputs are `limit` (1–50, default 50), `after`, and `includeArchived`; `account` defaults to the project binding.

Returns `{ workflowStates: LinearWorkflowState[]; pageInfo: LinearPageInfo }`; states include ID, name, category `type`, color, description, ordering position, owning team, and dates.
