# Update comment

> Replace the Markdown body of a Linear comment.

`updateComment` edits one comment and lets Linear record its edit timestamp.

```ts automations/update-linear-comment.automation.ts theme={null}
import { automation, onHttpRequest } from "automate.ax"
import { updateComment } from "automate.ax/linear"
export default automation("Update Linear comment", () => {
  onHttpRequest({ scope: "automation" })
  updateComment({ commentId: "comment-uuid", body: "Approved." })
})
```

`commentId` and non-empty Markdown `body` are required; optional `account` defaults to the project binding. Returns the updated `LinearComment`. The connected user must be allowed to edit it.
