# Update cycle

> Update a Linear cycle.

`linear.updateCycle` updates a Linear cycle..

import { linear } from "automate.ax/linear"

export default automation("Update cycle", () => {
  onDashboardRun({ title: "Update cycle" })
  linear.updateCycle({ cycleId: "cycle-uuid", name: "Sprint 18" })
})
```

Provide `cycleId` and any fields to change: `name`, `description`, `startsAt`, `endsAt`, or `completedAt`. Returns the updated `LinearCycle`. Optional second argument `{ account }` selects the Linear binding.
