# On issue updated

> Start an automation when a Linear issue is updated.

`onLinearIssueUpdated` filters issue webhooks to provider update actions.

```ts automations/watch-linear-issue-updates.automation.ts theme={null}
import { automation } from "automate.ax"
import { onLinearIssueUpdated } from "automate.ax/linear"
export default automation("Watch Linear issue updates", () => {
  onLinearIssueUpdated()
})
```

Optional static `account` defaults to the project binding. Returns an issue webhook signal with `action: "update"`; `data` contains current provider-native fields and optional `updatedFrom` contains previous values for changed fields. Call `getIssue` for the current normalized issue.
