# Create ad

> Creates an ad from an existing ad set and creative.

`metaAds.createAd` creates an ad from an existing ad set and creative.

```ts automations/meta-ads-create-ad.automation.ts theme={null}
import { automation, onDashboardRun } from "automate.ax"
import { metaAds } from "automate.ax/meta-ads"
export default automation("Create ad", () => {
  onDashboardRun({ title: "Create ad" })
  const result = metaAds.createAd({
    adAccountId: "123456789",
    adsetId: "ad-set-id",
    creativeId: "creative-id",
    name: "Launch ad",
  })
  // Use result in the next advertising, reporting, or delivery operation.
})
```

`status` defaults to `PAUSED`. Optional second argument `{ account }` selects a static project account binding.

Returns the created ad ID. Creation is not replay-safe.
