# Get ad

> Retrieves one ad by ID.

`metaAds.getAd` retrieves one ad by ID.

import { automation, onDashboardRun } from "automate.ax"
import { metaAds } from "automate.ax/meta-ads"

export default automation("Get ad", () => {
  onDashboardRun({ title: "Get ad" })
  const result = metaAds.getAd({ id: "ad-id" })
  // Use result in the next advertising, reporting, or delivery operation.
})
```

Use `fields` to add fields to the typed ad projection. Optional second argument `{ account }` selects a static project account binding.

Returns the ad's hierarchy, creative reference, and delivery status.
