# Hide Instagram comment

> Hides a comment on Instagram media.

`metaAds.hideInstagramComment` hides a comment on the account's Instagram media.

```ts automations/meta-ads-hide-instagram-comment.automation.ts theme={null}
import { automation, onDashboardRun } from "automate.ax"
import { metaAds } from "automate.ax/meta-ads"
export default automation("Hide Instagram comment", () => {
  onDashboardRun({ title: "Hide Instagram comment" })
  metaAds.hideInstagramComment({ commentId: "comment-id" })
})
```

Comments by the media owner always stay visible, and live-video comments can't be hidden. Hiding is safe to retry; use [Unhide Instagram comment](https://docs.automate.ax/reference/integrations/meta-ads/actions/unhide-instagram-comment.md) to restore it. Optional second argument `{ account }` selects a static project account binding.

Returns `success`. The action needs `instagram_basic`, `instagram_manage_comments`, `pages_read_engagement`, and `pages_show_list`.
