# Reply to Page comment

> Publishes a public reply to a Facebook Page comment as the Page.

`metaAds.replyToPageComment` publishes a public reply to a Facebook Page comment as the Page.

```ts automations/meta-ads-reply-to-page-comment.automation.ts theme={null}
import { automation, onDashboardRun } from "automate.ax"
import { metaAds } from "automate.ax/meta-ads"
export default automation("Reply to Page comment", () => {
  onDashboardRun({ title: "Reply to Page comment" })
  metaAds.replyToPageComment({
    commentId: "comment-id",
    message: "Thanks! We just sent you a message with the details.",
    pageId: "page-id",
  })
})
```

Everyone who can see the post can see the reply. Use [Private reply to Page comment](https://docs.automate.ax/reference/integrations/meta-ads/actions/private-reply-to-page-comment.md) for details that belong in a private conversation. Optional second argument `{ account }` selects a static project account binding.

Returns the new comment's `id`. Replies aren't replay-safe; an ambiguous failure isn't retried automatically, so check the thread before you retry. The action needs `pages_manage_engagement`, `pages_read_user_content`, and `pages_show_list`.
