# Update audience

> Updates a custom audience.

`metaAds.updateAudience` updates a custom audience.

```ts automations/meta-ads-update-audience.automation.ts theme={null}
import { automation, onDashboardRun } from "automate.ax"
import { metaAds } from "automate.ax/meta-ads"
export default automation("Update audience", () => {
  onDashboardRun({ title: "Update audience" })
  const result = metaAds.updateAudience({
    id: "audience-id",
    changes: { description: "Customers active in the last 90 days" },
  })
  // Use result in the next advertising, reporting, or delivery operation.
})
```

Put mutable audience fields in `changes` using public camelCase names. Optional second argument `{ account }` selects a static project account binding.

Returns Meta's mutation result. The update is not replay-safe.
