# Append Notion block children

> Append child blocks at the end of a block or at a current API position.

`notion.appendBlockChildren` append child blocks at the end of a block or at a current API position.

## Example

```ts automations/notion-append-block-children.automation.ts theme={null}
import { automation, onSchedule } from "automate.ax"
import { notion } from "automate.ax/notion"
export default automation("Append Notion block children", () => {
  onSchedule({ schedule: "0 9 * * *" })
  notion.appendBlockChildren({ block_id: "block-id", children: [] })
})
```

## Inputs

Provide `block_id` and `children`. Optional `position` uses the current API positioning shape; the retired top-level `after` field is rejected. Every input accepts a compatible signal, and an optional second argument can select a named account.

## Output

Returns a paginated `block` list containing the appended children.
