# Get Notion block

> Retrieve a block that is shared with the connected Notion integration.

`notion.getBlock` retrieve a block that is shared with the connected Notion integration.

## Example

```ts automations/notion-get-block.automation.ts theme={null}
import { automation, onSchedule } from "automate.ax"
import { notion } from "automate.ax/notion"
export default automation("Get Notion block", () => {
  onSchedule({ schedule: "0 9 * * *" })
  notion.getBlock({ block_id: "block-id" })
})
```

## Inputs

Provide `block_id`. The integration must be able to read the page containing the block. Every input accepts a compatible signal, and an optional second argument can select a named account.

## Output

Returns the current typed block variant, or Notion's partial `{ object, id }` shape when the provider omits inaccessible fields.
