# Get Notion database

> Retrieve a database container and its data-source references.

`notion.getDatabase` retrieve a database container and its data-source references.

## Example

```ts automations/notion-get-database.automation.ts theme={null}
import { automation, onSchedule } from "automate.ax"
import { notion } from "automate.ax/notion"

export default automation("Get Notion database", () => {
  onSchedule({ schedule: "0 9 * * *" })

  notion.getDatabase({ database_id: "database-id" })
})
```

## Inputs

`database_id` is required. Every input accepts a compatible signal, and an optional second argument can select a named account.

## Output

Returns the full database or a partial `database` reference, including visible data sources when available.
