# Get Notion user

> Retrieve a Notion user by ID.

`notion.getUser` retrieve a Notion user by ID.

## Example

```ts automations/notion-get-user.automation.ts theme={null}
import { automation, onSchedule } from "automate.ax"
import { notion } from "automate.ax/notion"

export default automation("Get Notion user", () => {
  onSchedule({ schedule: "0 9 * * *" })

  notion.getUser({ user_id: "user-id" })
})
```

## Inputs

`user_id` is required. OAuth can use the user-information capability; a personal token can retrieve only its owner. Every input accepts a compatible signal, and an optional second argument can select a named account.

## Output

Returns the full `user` object.
