# Update Notion database

> Update database metadata, parent, lock, or trash state.

`notion.updateDatabase` update database metadata, parent, lock, or trash state.

## Example

```ts automations/notion-update-database.automation.ts theme={null}
import { automation, onSchedule } from "automate.ax"
import { notion } from "automate.ax/notion"

export default automation("Update Notion database", () => {
  onSchedule({ schedule: "0 9 * * *" })

  notion.updateDatabase({ database_id: "database-id", in_trash: false })
})
```

## Inputs

`database_id` is required. Supply any current metadata, parent, icon, cover, lock, or `in_trash` fields. Every input accepts a compatible signal, and an optional second argument can select a named account.

## Output

Returns the updated full or partial `database` object.
