# On Notion comment created

> Start an automation when Notion creates a comment.

`notion.onCommentCreated` start an automation when Notion creates a comment.

## Example

```ts automations/notion-on-comment-created.automation.ts theme={null}
import { automation } from "automate.ax"
import { notion } from "automate.ax/notion"
export default automation("On Notion comment created", () => {
  const event = notion.onCommentCreated()
  event.transform(({ entity }) => entity.id)
})
```

## Configuration

The trigger takes no event filters. Its optional static `account` selects a named OAuth binding and defaults to the project's Notion binding. Personal access tokens cannot own webhook subscriptions.

## Event

Returns the typed `comment.created` payload. `entity` identifies the comment; `data.pageId` and `data.parent` identify its page and parent block.

The event is narrowed to `comment.created`; consumers do not need to inspect the raw type.

Automate.ax verifies the Notion signature, routes only to an eligible workspace principal, and deduplicates provider retries by event ID.
