# On Notion event

> Start an automation for any supported Notion webhook event.

`notion.onEvent` start an automation for any supported Notion webhook event.

## Example

```ts automations/notion-on-event.automation.ts theme={null}
import { automation } from "automate.ax"
import { notion } from "automate.ax/notion"
export default automation("On Notion event", () => {
  const event = notion.onEvent()
  event.transform(({ entity }) => entity.id)
})
```

## Configuration

The trigger takes no event filters. Its optional static `account` selects a named OAuth binding and defaults to the project's Notion binding. Personal access tokens cannot own webhook subscriptions.

## Event

Returns `NotionWebhookEvent`, discriminated by `type`, with delivery IDs, workspace metadata, authors, access principals, entity, and event-specific data. Every property uses camel case, including nested provider fields such as `workspaceId`, `data.updatedProperties`, and `data.parent.dataSourceId`.

Inspect `event.type` or use a semantic trigger when the automation handles one event shape.

Automate.ax verifies the Notion signature, routes only to an eligible workspace principal, and deduplicates provider retries by event ID.
