# On Notion file upload failed

> Start an automation when a Notion upload or external import fails.

`notion.onFileUploadFailed` start an automation when a Notion upload or external import fails.

## Example

```ts automations/notion-on-file-upload-failed.automation.ts theme={null}
import { automation } from "automate.ax"
import { notion } from "automate.ax/notion"
export default automation("On Notion file upload failed", () => {
  const event = notion.onFileUploadFailed()
  event.transform(({ entity }) => entity.id)
})
```

## Configuration

The trigger takes no event filters. Its optional static `account` selects a named OAuth binding and defaults to the project's Notion binding. Personal access tokens cannot own webhook subscriptions.

## Event

Returns the typed failed-upload payload. `data.fileImportResult` includes the import time and the provider error or success variant.

The event is narrowed to `file_upload.upload_failed`; consumers do not need to inspect the raw type.

Automate.ax verifies the Notion signature, routes only to an eligible workspace principal, and deduplicates provider retries by event ID.
