# Delete category

> Deletes a master category and completes without output.

`outlook.deleteCategory` deletes a master category and completes without output.

## Example

```ts automations/outlook-delete-category.automation.ts theme={null}
import { automation } from "automate.ax"
import { outlook } from "automate.ax/outlook"

export default automation("Delete category", () => {
  outlook.deleteCategory({ categoryId: "category-id" })
})
```

## Inputs

Pass `{ categoryId: "category-id" }`. The optional second argument `{ account }` selects a Microsoft binding.

## Output

Deletes a master category and completes without output.

Microsoft Graph requires the scopes declared by the action. IDs are opaque and should be passed through unchanged.
