# Delete Inbox rule

> Deletes an Inbox rule and completes without output.

`outlook.deleteMessageRule` deletes an Inbox rule and completes without output.

## Example

```ts automations/outlook-delete-message-rule.automation.ts theme={null}
import { automation } from "automate.ax"
import { outlook } from "automate.ax/outlook"

export default automation("Delete Inbox rule", () => {
  outlook.deleteMessageRule({ ruleId: "rule-id" })
})
```

## Inputs

Pass `{ ruleId: "rule-id" }`. The optional second argument `{ account }` selects a Microsoft binding.

## Output

Deletes an Inbox rule and completes without output.

Microsoft Graph requires the scopes declared by the action. IDs are opaque and should be passed through unchanged.
