# Flag message

> Flag an Outlook message for follow-up.

`flagMessage` sets the message's follow-up flag status to `flagged`.

```ts automations/flag-outlook-message.automation.ts theme={null}
import { automation } from "automate.ax"
import { flagMessage } from "automate.ax/outlook"

export default automation("Flag Outlook message", () => {
  flagMessage({ messageId: "AAMkAGI2..." })
})
```

Required `messageId` accepts a compatible signal. Optional `account` selects
the Microsoft binding. Returns the updated `OutlookMessage`; its `flag.status`
is `flagged`. This fixed action does not set due dates.
