# Get category

> Returns one Outlook master category.

`outlook.getCategory` returns one Outlook master category.

## Example

```ts automations/outlook-get-category.automation.ts theme={null}
import { automation } from "automate.ax"
import { outlook } from "automate.ax/outlook"

export default automation("Get category", () => {
  outlook.getCategory({ categoryId: "category-id" })
})
```

## Inputs

Pass `{ categoryId: "category-id" }`. The optional second argument `{ account }` selects a Microsoft binding.

## Output

Returns one Outlook master category.

Microsoft Graph requires the scopes declared by the action. IDs are opaque and should be passed through unchanged.
