# Get message MIME

> Returns the RFC 5322 message as a `File`.

`outlook.getMessageMime` returns the RFC 5322 message as a `File`.

## Example

```ts automations/outlook-get-message-mime.automation.ts theme={null}
import { automation } from "automate.ax"
import { outlook } from "automate.ax/outlook"

export default automation("Get message MIME", () => {
  outlook.getMessageMime({ messageId: "AAMkAGI2..." })
})
```

## Inputs

Pass `{ messageId: "AAMkAGI2..." }`. The optional second argument `{ account }` selects a Microsoft binding.

## Output

Returns the RFC 5322 message as a `File`.

Microsoft Graph requires the scopes declared by the action. IDs are opaque and should be passed through unchanged.
