# Permanently delete message

> Permanently deletes a message without using Deleted Items.

`outlook.permanentlyDeleteMessage` permanently deletes a message without using Deleted Items.

## Example

```ts automations/outlook-permanently-delete-message.automation.ts theme={null}
import { automation } from "automate.ax"
import { outlook } from "automate.ax/outlook"

export default automation("Permanently delete message", () => {
  outlook.permanentlyDeleteMessage({ messageId: "AAMkAGI2..." })
})
```

## Inputs

Pass `{ messageId: "AAMkAGI2..." }`. The optional second argument `{ account }` selects a Microsoft binding.

## Output

Permanently deletes a message without using Deleted Items.

Microsoft Graph requires the scopes declared by the action. IDs are opaque and should be passed through unchanged.
