# Update mailbox settings

> Updates mailbox settings and returns the provider-confirmed settings.

`outlook.updateMailboxSettings` updates mailbox settings and returns the provider-confirmed settings.

## Example

export default automation("Update mailbox settings", () => {
  outlook.updateMailboxSettings({ timeZone: "Pacific Standard Time" })

## Inputs

Pass one or more writable settings: `automaticRepliesSetting`, `dateFormat`, `delegateMeetingMessageDeliveryOptions`, `language`, `timeFormat`, `timeZone`, or `workingHours`. Read-only fields such as `archiveFolder` and `userPurpose` aren't accepted. The optional second argument `{ account }` selects a Microsoft binding.

## Output

Returns the updated mailbox settings, including locale, time zone, working hours, and automatic reply configuration when present.

Microsoft Graph requires the scopes declared by the action. IDs are opaque and should be passed through unchanged.
