# Reply to message

> Reply within an existing Reddit private-message thread.

`reddit.replyToMessage` replies within an existing Reddit private-message thread.

## Inputs

Set `messageId` to a `t4_...` private-message fullname and provide Markdown `text`. Inbox comment notifications use `t1_...` fullnames and must be answered with `reddit.createComment` instead. Compatible signals are accepted. Use the optional second argument `{ account }` to select a named Reddit binding.

## Output

Returns the created `RedditMessage`. Submission is not automatically replayed after an ambiguous provider failure.
