# Search posts

> Search Reddit globally or within one subreddit.

`reddit.searchPosts` search Reddit globally or within one subreddit.

## Inputs

Set `query` to at most 512 characters. Omit `subreddit` for global search. `sort` defaults to `relevance`, `time` to `all`, and `limit` to 25. Pass `after` to continue. Compatible signals are accepted. Use the optional second argument `{ account }` to select a named Reddit binding.

## Output

Returns matching `posts` and `pageInfo`.
