# New inbox item

## Configuration

No provider filter is required. Use optional `account` to select a named Reddit binding.

## Event

Returns `{ action: "inboxItemCreated", message }` with a normalized `RedditMessage`. Private messages use `t4_...` fullnames. Comment notifications use `t1_...` and set `message.wasComment` to `true`.

Automate.ax polls once per minute. It establishes a baseline when the trigger becomes active and emits only items observed afterward. Temporary provider failures retry; missing permissions or inaccessible subreddits appear as a trigger reconciliation error.
