# Cancel scheduled email

> Cancel a scheduled Resend email before delivery begins.

`cancelScheduledEmail` prevents a pending scheduled email from being sent.

import { cancelScheduledEmail } from "automate.ax/resend"

export default automation("Cancel Resend email", () => {
  cancelScheduledEmail({ emailId: "email_123" })
})
```

Required `emailId` comes from the original send. Optional `account` selects the
Resend binding. Returns `{ id: string; object: string }`. Resend rejects an email
that has already started delivery or is not a cancelable scheduled message.
