# Create contact property

> Create a typed Resend contact property.

`resend.createContactProperty` create a typed Resend contact property.

import { resend } from "automate.ax/resend"

export default automation("Create contact property", () => {
  resend.createContactProperty({
    key: "plan",
    type: "string",
    fallbackValue: "free",
  })
})
```

Keys accept up to 50 alphanumeric or underscore characters. `type` is `string` or `number`; when supplied, `fallbackValue` must match it. Optional second argument `{ account }` selects the Resend account binding.
