# Create domain claim

> Claim a domain verified by another Resend account.

`resend.createDomainClaim` starts an ownership claim and returns the TXT proof record.

import { resend } from "automate.ax/resend"

export default automation("Claim Resend domain", () => {
  resend.createDomainClaim({ name: "example.com", region: "us-east-1" })
})
```

The result includes the claim ID, proof record, expiration, status, and any blocking or failure reason reported by Resend.
