# Delete template

> Delete a Resend email template.

`resend.deleteTemplate` delete a Resend email template.

```ts automations/resend-deleteTemplate.automation.ts theme={null}
import { automation } from "automate.ax"
import { resend } from "automate.ax/resend"

export default automation("Delete template", () => {
  resend.deleteTemplate({ template: "welcome-email" })
})
```

`template` accepts an ID or alias. Deletion is permanent and returns the deleted ID, object type, and `deleted` status. Optional second argument `{ account }` selects the Resend account binding.
