# Get email

> Retrieve a sent or scheduled Resend email by ID.

`getEmail` retrieves message content and the latest Resend delivery event.

export default automation("Get Resend email", () => {
  getEmail({ emailId: "email_123" })
})
```

Required `emailId` is returned by send actions. Optional `account` selects the
Resend binding and defaults to the project binding.

Returns `id`, `object`, `from`, `to`, `cc`, `bcc`, `replyTo`, `subject`, nullable
`html` and `text`, `tags`, `createdAt`, nullable `scheduledAt`, `lastEvent`, and
optional nullable provider `messageId`. `lastEvent` is a status string, not a
timestamp.
