# Get segment

> Retrieve one Resend contact segment.

`getSegment` resolves an exact segment name or ID and retrieves it.

import { automation } from "automate.ax"
import { getSegment } from "automate.ax/resend"

export default automation("Get Resend segment", () => {
  getSegment({ segment: "Customers" })
})
```

`segment` is required; optional `account` selects the binding. Exact name
matching ignores case and whitespace. Missing and ambiguous names fail; IDs are
unambiguous. Returns `id`, `name`, `object`, and `createdAt`.
