# Get template

> Get a Resend email template.

`resend.getTemplate` get a Resend email template.

```ts automations/resend-getTemplate.automation.ts theme={null}
import { automation } from "automate.ax"
import { resend } from "automate.ax/resend"

export default automation("Get template", () => {
  resend.getTemplate({ template: "welcome-email" })
})
```

`template` accepts a template ID or alias. The output preserves nullable subject, sender, reply address, text, variables, alias, and publication timestamp fields. Optional second argument `{ account }` selects the Resend account binding.
