# Publish template

> Publish the current version of a Resend template.

`resend.publishTemplate` publish the current version of a Resend template.

```ts automations/resend-publishTemplate.automation.ts theme={null}
import { automation } from "automate.ax"
import { resend } from "automate.ax/resend"

export default automation("Publish template", () => {
  resend.publishTemplate({ template: "welcome-email" })
})
```

`template` accepts an ID or alias. Publishing makes the current version available to email sends and returns the template ID. Optional second argument `{ account }` selects the Resend account binding.
